A complete exterior repaint with color consultation using a low VOC Satin
paint. Additionally 4"x12" peak beams which contained
severe dry rot were cut off, and a new garage door weather
stripping was installed.
Here's what occurred:
1. PRESURE WASHING. The entire home
to prepare the surface.
2. CARPENTRY. Ever Green removed four 4"x12" support beam
extensions which contained severe dry rot.
3. PREP - SCRAPING, PRIMING & CAULKING.
The owner said it had been AT LEAST 25 years
since their previous paint job! Extensive priming and caulking was needed
to fill all the cracks. All fascias were failing completely (if they even
still contain any paint), as well as the garage door.
4. PAINTING. The home received two coats, however the
south side received an entire third coat, and other areas of the home
received a spot third coat. Also, the clients expressed interest in "brightening
their home", but were unsure what action to take. Through Ever Green's
color consultation, an lighter accent color was decided upon for the homes
gables, thus adding a more dramatic dynamic to the home's aesthetic.
The clients were so pleased, several neighbors have already contacted
Ever Green for interior and exterior paint jobs (thanks Mr. and Mrs. Newton!).
