A complete exterior repaint of home in a low VOC Satin paint which included
the front & back doors. Additionally, Ever Green replaced
two 2"x12" fascia boards, a 14' section on the home's front
left, and a 2' section on the home's front right. Here's
what occurred:
1. PRESURE WASHING. To thoroughly clean the entire
home.
2. PREP - SCRAPING, SANDING, PRIMING & CAULKING.
As you can see from the photos below, this home had extensive paint failure,
fading, and siding separation. Several days were spent during this stage,
including two cases of caulk around all windows, door jams, corner boards,
fascia joints, nail intrusions, and other locations. Almost the entire
home was primed, and in many locations more then once. Fascia boards,
such as the south side received additional paint from the body & accent
colors as excess built on our brushes. This is another advantage to using
Ever Green, as all our homes are brushed & rolled (no spraying), thus
maximizing the amount of paint applied to your home, and not wasted into
the air (as with spraying). Additionally, the client accepted an option
(We like to give clients options!) to have Ever Green orbital sand the
front fascia boards which were extremely rough due to separation.
3. PAINTING. Our standard two coat-brush & roll
system was applied using Rhoda's low VOC Horizon paint with set up
time between.
4. CARPENTRY. Initially included in the
contract as an option, the client decided to hire Ever Green to replace
16' of rotted fascia boards,
a 14' section on the home's front
left, and a 2' section on the front right. |
